How much does it cost to charge my EV?
Charging prices are set by EVmatch site hosts. The average cost of charging on the EVmatch network is $0.21 per kWh. The price for any transaction is always clearly displayed before you submit a charging request. When you look at a station listing on the map, you'll see a price estimate for that station. This price represents the estimated cost of charging including the EVmatch service fee. This estimate may differ from the actual price you are quoted for a reservation for a variety of reasons, including your vehicle's charging specifications, the time of day you are charging, and discount codes you have entered into your account.Where can I charge with EVmatch?
EVmatch's network is available throughout the United States. Most EVmatch chargers are currently located throughout California, Colorado, Vermont, Illinois, and few other states. We are quickly expanding our network across the United States in places with high demand for EV charging. What if I need to change or cancel my reservation?
If you need to cancel or change your reservation in advance, log in to your account and click on the Reservations tab. From there you can cancel or change a charging reservation for your vehicle. See our Terms and Conditions for additional details about cancellations. What if I'm running late to pick up my car?
Well first, please don't! But in case something comes up, check to see if you can extend your reservation through the app. You may extend your reservation if there are no other sessions booked at that time. You are ultimately responsible for your vehicle and EVmatch claims no responsibility for your vehicle and any consequences of it being left in a Host's parking spot past the reservation period. What are idle fees and how do they apply to me?
Idle fees are time-based charges set by hosts to keep chargers available for everyone. They apply when your vehicle stays plugged in after it has finished charging, since that can block other drivers from using the charger. You’ll see any idle fee shown as an hourly rate in the app before you book a session. After booking, you will also receive email and push notifications (if enabled) reminding you about the idle fee and the specific grace period you'll have to move your vehicle. Note that idle fee rates and grace periods are set by site hosts and are not uniform across the EVmatch network, so be sure to review station fee details carefully.
If your vehicle stops charging but is still plugged in, a grace period begins. The grace period is a short window (for example, 5 minutes) where you won’t be charged, giving you time to return and move your car. If the vehicle remains plugged in after the grace period ends, the idle fee will start accumulating on a per minute basis. If idle fees (or other charges) exceed your account balance and auto-replenish is turned off, your balance may go negative. You’ll need to bring it back to a positive balance before you can book another charging session.Commercial, Apartment, & Condo Hosts

Refer to the website or manual that came with your charger for step-by-step instructions on how to connect your charging station to WiFi or activate the cellular network SIM cards that may have been included with your charger purchase. If you are using local WiFi to connect to the internet, your local WiFi signal must reach the charger location in order to properly connect your device. You may need to install a WiFi repeater, access point, or mesh network to ensure that a strong signal reaches your charger. Please note, connecting your charger to the internet is required in order to activate your commercial charging station on the EVmatch network.
