Big News: The All-New EVmatch Mobile App is Here!

At EVmatch, our mission has always been to make EV charging more accessible, reliable, and equitable for everyone, whether you’re charging at multi-family housing or a commercial site.

This month, we are thrilled to take a giant leap forward in that mission. We have officially launched a brand-new EVmatch mobile app available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store!

This isn't just a minor update; it is a complete overhaul designed to provide you with a faster, more intuitive, and more reliable charging experience. Here is everything you need to know about the upgrade and how to get started.

What’s New?

We’ve listened to your feedback and built a platform that handles the complexities of modern charging with ease.

• Improved Map & Real-Time Status: Our enhanced search engine makes finding available chargers easier than ever. You can now see live status updates to ensure a charger is ready for you before you arrive.
• Live Charging Display: No more guessing how much charge you’ve received. The new app features a live display of energy delivered and elapsed charging time during your active sessions.
• Spanish Language: Users can now easily toggle the app interface into Spanish, enhancing accessibility and ease-of-use for our Spanish-speaking audience.
• Streamlined Pin Code Access: For many of our multi-family and commercial locations, we’ve simplified the "gatekeeper" process. Instead of hunting through account settings, you’ll be prompted to enter your 4-digit Pin Code (provided by your host) directly when you select the charger. The best part? The app remembers it for next time.
• The Features You Love: We've maintained and improved all of your favorite tools like Reservations, Charge Now, Favorites, Wallet Auto-Replenish, and In-App Support.

Important Changes to Idle Fees

To ensure our charging network remains efficient for all drivers, we are updating how idle fees work.

In the new app, idle fees will begin when your vehicle stops charging, rather than at the end of your reservation period. This change helps free up plugs for other drivers as soon as a session is complete. You’ll receive push notifications and emails when your vehicle is full and when an idle fee period has begun, so make sure your notifications are turned on!

How to Switch to the New App

We’ve made the transition as seamless as possible. Your account details and credits are already waiting for you.

1. Download: Head to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for EVmatch to download the latest version.
2. Log In: Use your existing email and password. No need to create a new account! (If you’ve forgotten your password, just hit "Forgot password" to reset it).
3. Check Your Wallet: All of your pre-purchased charging credits have been migrated to the new system and will be visible under the "Wallet" tab.

Note: The previous version of the app is no longer supported. Please download the new version today to ensure uninterrupted service.

Residential Hosting has been Discontinued

We regret to report that we no longer support residential hosting. Drivers searching for residential chargers can find them on PlugShare. EVmatch hosts now use a separate web-based platform to manage charger settings, access, and pricing.
